Home base Bourbon

Our flagship bourbon is a balanced and delicate grain-forward whiskey made with sustainably grown corn, rye and lots of malted barley.

The whiskey is aged in new American oak barrels at char 3, allowing the flavors from the high malt content - honey, maple and nut - to complement the caramel, toffee and vanilla notes typical of bourbons.

Tasting Notes: Baked apple, cinnamon, butterscotch, toasted almond, vanilla bean, honey, graham cracker, mint

Drinking Tips: Great right out of the bottle. We also love this one in cocktails. If sipping neat, swirl your glass a few times - we found a little oxygen brings out the honey and caramel notes even more.

  • Aged 16 Months
  • New American Oak 30 and 25 gallon barrels, Medium Char #3
  • 60% Organic Corn grown in Sacramento at Adams Grains
  • 30% Malted Barley grown in Oregon at Mecca Grade Estate Malts
  • 10% Organic Rye grown in Oregon at Azure Standard Farms
  • Distilled 05/2016 and 09/2016 in California at Sutherland Distilling Company
  • Aged, blended and bottled in Oakland, CA at Home Base Spirits
  • Blend of barrels B12 (20 months) and B18 (16 months)

Tasting Notes: Raspberry, dark chocolate, butterscotch, almond, vanilla bean, honey graham cracker
