Introducing: California Corn

We are proud to introduce our newest addition to our whiskey family: Home Base California Corn Whiskey.

A little over five years ago we were distilling our bourbon with Corbin Cash Distillery in Atwater, CA when we decided to do something about all of our empty bourbon barrels: fill them with corn whiskey. We took the same Sacramento Valley grown, certified organic Yellow Dent Corn that goes into our bourbon, mashed and distilled it, and then filled up the ex-Home Base Bourbon barrels, thinking we’d have some nice whiskey for fun blends down the line.

Well, down the line came and after testing and trying, we decided it was too delicious not to make its own spirit. So following the tradition of one of our guilty pleasure whiskies, we Bottled in Bond this first batch of close to 5-year-old corn whiskey, proofing it to 100 and blending a batch that is crisp, sweet, and great for sipping and mixing.

We hope you learn to love this category of whiskey as much as we do! It is landing on shelves around California this week, so be sure to stop by Gemini Bottle Co and Bourbon County in San Francisco, Bitters + Bottles in South San Francisco, Ledger’s Liquors, Piedmont Grocery, CRAFT Alameda, Prizefighter Bottle Shop, Star Grocery, Copper & Malt, and Alkali Rye - Oakland’s Beverage Shop in the East Bay, Bottle Barn in Santa Rosa and Bar Keeper in Los Angeles to pick up a bottle, or ask your favorite Home Base retailer when it is arriving.
