Home Base Holiday Gift Guide

We know booze isn’t for everyone (or all the time!) so we’d love to highlight some treats and delights from just a few of our favorite local and/or lady-owned and/or Home Base-supporting businesses.

1. Our friend Julia started making the most delicious bean-to-bar chocolates that highlight upcycled and fermented foods, PLUS exciting collabs like the Home Base Bitter No. 02 infused Good, Bitter, Best bar. Limited availability!

2. While stocking up Eataly Silicon Valley on Home Base whiskies and bitter liqueurs, we couldn’t help leaving with one of their delectable Italian food gift boxes. We’re really hoping someone gifts us this Aperitivo All’Italiana box for our apero hours.

3. We can’t help but include some of our favorite artists (and label collaborators) in our gift guides, and this year Pala Ceramics has the perfect snack plates in stock for the aforementioned apero hour.

4. Bitter liqueur label artist extraordinaire Kindah Khalidy’s textile designs at Seamripper are some of our all-time favs. We use these napkins for almost every event, and we think you should too.

5. We’re guessing you’ve made a cocktail or two if you’re here, so we recommend adding some festivity and glam with some Harp Designs cocktail pins. We’ve customized quite a few of these or there’s already something for everyone.

6. Continuing on the cocktail theme, one of our wintertime favorites is a Hot Toddy, for which having the freshest, most fragrant, most equitable cinnamon sticks and cloves should be a non-negotiable. Really, you should replace your whole spice cabinet with Diaspora Co.’s spices, but this is a great start.

7. Lastly, you may already be like us an have a never-ending collection of vintage glassware, but in case you are looking for a new glass to build these festive cocktails, check out Sergeant Sailor’s online and irl stores for some always-on-point selections.
